REQUIREMENTS: A National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Humanities / Social Science or equivalent qualification. 3-5 years relevant work experience in land reform environment. Knowledge of Land reform prescripts and policies (ESTA, LTA, IPILRA). Knowledge of community dynamics Interpretation of statutes. Departmental filing procedure. Communication skills. Presentation skills. Facilitation skills. Project Management skills. People Management. Analytical skills. Research skills. Interpersonal skills. Report writing skills. A valid driver’s license recommended. An initiate self-driven individual willingness to travel and work irregular hours.
DUTIES: Facilitate the implementation of Extension of Security of Tenure programme. Respond to all enquires on ESTA accordingly. Liaise with Justice Ministry, Department of Nature Conservation and Game Farmers, /Farm owners, Department of Labour, Farm Dwellers and Local Municipalities on ESTA/LTA. Facilitate the Implementation of Interim Protect of Land Rights intervention. Draw up a data base for monitoring and evaluation of intervention processes of all cases. Assist staff in the District Offices to incorporate changes in land reform policy and procedures into their planning and implementation. Monitor and facilitate the Implementation of labour Tenants programme. Address the Labour Tenants Act (LTA) claims that have been lodged. Categorise LTA cases according to claimants’ settlement choices as required.
